International University College (IUC) has established itself as a modern higher education business school that regards its students as its most important asset. IUC trains them to become well-educated and capable of joining international businesses; encourages them to be knowledgeable enough in a wide array of business realms to be competitive on the labor market and prepares them to take on the management of international companies in accordance to the European market regulations.
International University College is a recognised institution of higher education. IUC has come to prominence in 1992, when it started a two-year study programme in "Hotel Management". Throughout the years, International University College has witnessed rapid development and has immensely increased its student base. Through high quality education, practical-theoretical implications and professionalism, IUC achieved very good reputation among students and started several new programmes. As a result of all this growth processes International University College received accreditation under the Bulgarian Law of Higher Education. It was established as a Higher Education Institution under an act of the Bulgarian Parliament from May, 5th 1999 (published in State Gazette 44/1999).
IUC is an international college. In this respect, it offers a range of programmes which are completely taught in English, as well as programmes in Bulgarian. Its graduates are given the opportunity to receive internationally recognised diplomas from prestigious European IUC partner universities. Today, students from three continentsfollow programmes at International University College.

Services & Facilities
The library
The library at International University College provides students, teachers, officials, and other keen readers access to an impressive collection of more than 12 500 titles in Marketing, Management, Finance, Accounting, Tourism, Information Technologies, Foreign Language Teaching, etc.
In 2009 started the implementation of automated data bases through the "AB" library software. The Integrated library-information system has been built and is maintained through the exploitation of software called "Automated library".
The electronic Cartotheque contains descriptions of articles from periodicals and business literary miscellany as well as parts of books from the fields related to the specialties at International University College and its branches.
In addition, the library predisposes its users with calm & quiet atmosphere and professional services by means of modern library information technologies.
The library is situated on the ground floor of International University College building. The library can be accessed both by students and external visitors.
Restaurant "Albena"
Restaurant Albena is a classic restaurant, which can accommodate about 150 people. It is located on the third floor of the International University College building.
With its wide range of traditional and international dishes, as well as its rich collection of wines, the restaurant is a pleasant location for your lunch, dinner or celebration. What is more, a remarkable feature of the restaurant is the fact that the staff includes also established professionals, who are International University College teachers of food and beverage service techniques and culinary techniques. This ensures that service of supreme quality.
The restaurant offers only high quality and fresh products and students/guests receive excellent catering services. The staff is flexible and ready to adjust to particular needs and requirements. Delivery of ready meals and ready-to-cook food, as well as culinary products of the highest quality is also possible.
Career Center

Student Life
Dobrich is an established location for festivals and conferences. Eight national and international festivals are held here, including the European pop music contest "Sarandev", the international youth music festival and contest "Folklore without Frontiers", the international youth music festival "Hopes, Talents, Masters" and the international festival of children's choirs "Zahari Mednikarov".
Additionally, among the tourist attractions in the region are the Royal Palace in Balchik (a former residence of Queen Maria of Romania, the Balchik Botanical Garden (featuring a remarkable collection of plant species from all over the world), the Alaja Monastery and the nature and archaeological reserve Kaliakra.
IUC at glance
International University College (IUC) is located in the Northeast part of Bulgaria, in the city of Dobrich. It is accommodated in a modern building in the centre of the city, next to the Municipal offices and the Drama Theatre. The newly built premises of International University College (IUC) are equipped with modern facilities and feature contemporary business environment. A video surveillance system ensures safety within the building. Classrooms and lecture auditoriums with more than 1 000 seats in total are spread over an area of around 50 000 square meters and feature modern equipment for studying and practical training.
Accreditation
In April 1998, International University College was granted initial institutional accreditation by the Accreditation Council of the National Agency of Evaluation and Accreditation. The establishment of the new higher education institution was subsequently approved by an ordinance of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria from 23 August 1998. International University College was officially opened under an act of the Bulgarian Parliament from 5 May 1999 (published in State Gazette 44/1999).
